Project Overview The Nadiad-Petlad Gauge Conversion is an EPC project aimed at converting the railway line between Nadiad and Petlad from meter gauge to broad gauge. This conversion is crucial for enhancing rail connectivity in the Vadodara Division of Western Railway. The project, which covers approximately 36 km, includes a significant number of bridges to be constructed or modified to accommodate the new track.

Casad's Scope of Work CASAD served as the Principal Detailed Design Consultant for the entire project. Our services included:

• GAD Preparation: Creating a comprehensive General Arrangement Drawing that served as the foundational blueprint, ensuring all major components like bridges, new railway lines, and station buildings were correctly laid out and coordinated.

• Structural Design: Providing all structural designs for the project's numerous bridges, ensuring they could safely support the new broad-gauge track and its operational loads.

• Alignment Design: Meticulously planning the new railway line's alignment to meet the technical requirements for a smooth and efficient broad-gauge track.

• Detailed Design: Encompassing all other intricate design work, including the planning for new station buildings, platforms, and staff quarters, along with the necessary technical documentation.
