Project Overview CASAD Consultants delivered the comprehensive structural design for the high-capacity PDPU Junction Flyover along the strategic Gandhinagar–Koba–Aerodrome Road. Engineered to alleviate heavy urban bottlenecks along the prime corridor connecting the state capital to the airport, the 6-lane elevated deck accommodates high daily traffic volumes with optimized load distribution. The modern urban corridor stands as a landmark civil engineering project supporting Gandhinagar's smart city expansion. 

Key Technical Details

  • Dimensional Scale: Total structure length of 739.0 meters with a 27.0-meter wide dual-carriageway cross-section.

  • Structural System: Multi-span concrete deck system utilizing prestressed concrete (PSC) girders supported on heavy-duty reinforced concrete piers and deep pile foundations.

  • Traffic Corridor Optimization: Engineered for high dynamic highway load standards, featuring integrated service lanes, ramps, and transition zones to streamline grade-separated junction traffic flow.

  • Detailed Structural Design & Engineering: Authored complete structural calculations, design modeling, and working drawings for superstructures, substructures, piers, and foundation systems.

  • Alignment & Geometric Design: Developed optimal vertical and horizontal alignment geometry to accommodate high-speed airport corridor traffic safely within urban right-of-way constraints.

  • Proof Consulting & Regulatory Clearances: Coordinated design validation, working closely with government road authorities (Roads & Buildings Department, Government of Gujarat) to obtain formal structural design approvals.  

  • Construction Support & Technical Supervision: Conducted regular site inspections and engineering support during foundation, pier, and deck casting phases to ensure strict adherence to design specifications.
