Project Overview
This integrated project involved the construction of both a flyover bridge and an underpass at the Science City Junction on the SP Ring Road in Ahmedabad. With a project cost of 67.84 Crore, this multi-modal infrastructure solution by AUDA was designed to provide comprehensive relief from traffic congestion and enhance connectivity at this key intersection. By separating traffic vertically, the project significantly improves throughput, reduces travel times, and boosts safety for commuters.
Casad's Scope of Work Our involvement in this project encompassed the construction and integration of these multiple complex structures to deliver a comprehensive traffic solution.
Foot Over Bridge Construction: Execution of the 1000-meter long Foot Over Bridge, providing safe pedestrian crossing.
Flyover Bridge Construction: Building the 434-meter long flyover, including the construction of RCC Piers and pier caps, and the erection of 14 spans of 30 meters.
Underpass Construction: Construction of the 19.2-meter wide underpass, integrating 30 segments (3.5m x 2.5m sections) to ensure smooth vehicular flow beneath the junction.
Traffic Management Integration: Ensuring seamless integration of the flyover, underpass, and FOB with the existing road network to optimize traffic flow and minimize bottlenecks.
Quality & Safety: Implementing rigorous quality control and safety protocols throughout the construction of all three interconnected structures.
